Lori Harvey, Damson Idris Release Joint Statement Confirming Breakup
Lori Harvey and Damson Idris have officially gone their separate ways, after only a year of dating. Following weeks of speculation, the two confirmed their breakup with an exclusive joint statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
On Tuesday (Nov. 7), THR posted the news as Harvey and Idris stated, “We are at a point in our lives where our individual paths require our full attention and dedication. We part ways remaining friends with nothing but love and respect for each other and the time we shared together.”
Social media began buzzing with their own speculations of a split after noticing that the couple deleted photos of each other from their Instagram accounts. Some even began speculating that the couple’s alleged “contract” is up; something that has become an ongoing joke about the model and entrepreneur.
“Damson Idris 2 year contract with Lori Harvey expired lmfaoooo,” one person wrote on X as another inquired, “What man yall think is next to sign the Lori Harvey NDA contract??”
Others voiced their sadness to see the couple go their separate ways, pointing out that the two recently attended some of the same events, but not together.
The SKN owner and SnowFall actor were rumored to have attended Kylie Jenner’s Halloween party in October separately. The two were also spotted entering Odell Beckham Jr.’s birthday party on Monday night (Nov. 6) on their own, according to Just Jared.

Harvey and Idris were first rumored to be dating in December 2022, a few months before the final season of the Idris-starring FX show, and six months after splitting from Michael B. Jordan.
The two confirmed their relationship on Instagram in January with an affectionate post.
“Happy Birthday Nunu [heart emoji],” Idris wrote on an IG story of him kissing Harvey on her cheek. He followed up with another post of Harvey holding money to her ear as he captioned the photo, “The plug.”
Ahead of dating Idris, Harvey and Michael B. Jordan called it quits in June 2022. As Jordan has remained rather coy about the breakup, he did perform a SNL comedy skit vaguely speaking on it.
“I went through my very first public breakup,” he started. “Now, most people after a breakup are like, ‘I’m gonna get in better shape,’ but I was already in Creed shape.’ So I had to be like, ‘All right, I guess I’ll learn a new language.’ Anyway, estoy en Raya [I’m on Raya].”
He added, “After the breakup everyone thought I was so heartbroken because when the news came out, I was at a basketball game. I was just chillin’.”
As Harvey has never issued a press statement on a breakup before Idris, she did speak on her split from Jordan with Teyana Taylor on an episode of Bumble’s Luv2SeeIt.
“I was a horrible communicator and didn’t know,” she admitted. “I didn’t realize it was that bad, but I learned. So that’s been something that I’ve actively been working on.”
