LYNDSEY PARKER: Corey Haim-- do you have any nice memories of partying with him? Tell me about that.
TOMMY CAPPELLO: Yeah. Yes, I do. Everyone that was in that scene that night, we had a party in Corey's room. All right, so Corey's 14 at this point.
LYNDSEY PARKER: Whoa.
TOMMY CAPPELLO: We were just having a ball-- playing our music, dancing around, having so much fun with everybody that was in that particular scene. So the music was a little loud. We're getting a little raucous.
Somebody calls the cops. Corey looks at everybody, goes to the door. Looks at everybody and says, "watch this."
Opens the door. Two big, burly cops. He-- that little kid had those cops wrapped around his little pinkie--
LYNDSEY PARKER: [LAUGHS]
TOMMY CAPPELLO: --to the point where, at the end, the cops were saying, now, do your best. We understand. Do your best. Just try to keep it down just a little bit.
And he was saying, oh, yes, officers. My dear chums and I will definitely try to do the best that we can. And they were like, you know, don't worry, but-- And he just closed the door and cracked up.
And I said to myself, can you imagine having that power to be able to charm anybody you meet? Like, his charisma was so off the charts, that he literally-- he-- he could just get anybody to do anything. And I was so-- I said to myself, whatever skills that I've developed through lots of hard work and practice and all that stuff, this guy just has this thing that's like the master power-- right? A super power--
LYNDSEY PARKER: Wow.
TOMMY CAPPELLO: --to charm. And then, of course, as things got-- you know, I didn't think about it, but I was so impressed. I just said, wow. Wouldn't that be the best thing to have in life? And then, of course, it proved to be a double-edged sword.
