‘For the Love of My Country’: Sarah Jessica Parker Endorses Kamala Harris and Tim Walz
Less than two weeks from Election Day, Sarah Jessica Parker has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. The And Just Like That star shared an image of her holding up a “Harris-Walz” campaign sign for the Democratic presidential and vice presidential nominees in a social media post Wednesday.
Parker attributed her endorsement to dozens of Harris and Walz-backed causes. “For the love of my country, for our public schools, for books, for common sense gun laws, for a living wage, for opportunity, for women, for voting rights,” she wrote in an Instagram caption.

The Sex and the City added that she’s voting for the Democratic ticket in support of her LGBTQ+ friends and loved ones, climate, affordable healthcare, union members, and equality. She ended her message with a reference to her onscreen counterpart Carrie Bradshaw, who adopted a cat named Shoe in the second season of And Just Like That.
“For me, for love, for choice, and for a certain childless cat lady I play on TV,” Parker wrote, “with an abundance of joy, optimism and pride I am voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz.”
Parker joins several childless dog and cat ladies who have endorsed Harris and Walz. On Sept. 10, Taylor Swift pledged she’d cast her vote for the Democratic ticket in a social media post featuring her cat Benjamin Button and signed it “childless cat lady.” Stevie Knicks also endorsed Harris and Walz with an X post captioned “childless dog lady,” while actress Aubrey Plaza posted a photo with the late Grumpy cat when she endorsed the Democratic candidates.
Parker will star in the third season of And Just Like That, which is projected to premiere in 2025.
