'I love you. Let's do this': Mike Pence's daughter Charlotte announces engagement
Charlotte Pence, Vice President Mike Pence's daughter, took to social media over the weekend to announce her engagement.
In a Saturday Instagram post, Charlotte Pence shared a pair of photos of her boyfriend, Henry Bond, proposing on a beach and her accepting.
She confirms the good news with a caption that reads: "I said 'yes,' and then I said 'thanks' a lot because I didn't know what else to say. I love you. Let's do this."
An author, the 26-year-old Charlotte Pence has two children's books centered around the Pence family rabbit Marlon Bundo titled "Marlon Bundo's Day in the Nation's Capital" and "Marlon Bundo's Day in the Life of the Vice President."

She also wrote the book "Where You Go: Life Lessons from My Father," which features a foreword written by the vice president. The Amazon description of the book says "Charlotte Pence pays tribute to her father, revealing the lessons he has taught her from his rich spiritual life."
Charlotte Pence is the second of the vice president's daughters to announce an engagement this year. In February, Audrey Pence, Charlotte Pence's younger sister, also made her announcement on Instagram.
Similar to her big sister's, Audrey Pence's post featured a beach proposal. The big difference was the rainstorm.
