Lucille Ball's Daughter Lucie Arnaz Shares Rare Photo With Brother Desi
Lucille Ball might have been one of the most famous redheads in America back in her Hollywood heyday, but to Lucie and Desie Jr. Arnaz, she was famous for simply being Mom.
And since the two kids, whom she shared with her first husband Desi Arnaz, live a much more quiet life under the radar compared to that of their mom back in the '40s and '50s, a rare appearance from them on social media left fans wanting more.
Over the weekend, I Love Lucy fans were thrilled (and surprised) to see a rare photo of the brother-sister duo together on Instagram. Although Lucie shared a gallery of pictures from what looked like a recent trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, it was the snapshots of her, with her arm looped through Desi's and leaning her head on his shoulder that really had social media gushing and reminiscing.
"So great to see Desi Jr.!! ???? Gosh he still looks so much like your Dad ?? Thanks for sharing these pics Lucie! ??," one commenter wrote. "Wonderful to see the two of you together. Lucie, you look lovelier than ever ??," another said. "I love the love they have for each other! ??" a third fan chimed in. A different person added, "Wonderful to see Desi. Love seeing you two together.??"
Lucie herself even alluded to her brother's very private life in her caption, writing "Thank you, Nick Luckinbill, (mega producer for EDC) for treating your family to a grand meal at Wally's in Las Vegas, with our special guest, my recalcitrant brother, Desi Arnaz, Jr.!!! Desi is alive and well, my friends- just likes to stay a bit 'undercover'."
Although older sister Lucie, 73, is more in the public eye these days since she's a working actress and singer, her younger brother Desi, 71, having retired from the acting and music world, now lives and works in Boulder City, Nevada, where he owns the Historic Boulder Theatre and helps direct the non-profit Boulder City Ballet Company with his wife Amy. He has two children Julia, 55, and Haley, 47. Lucie lives in Palm Springs, California with her husband, Laurence Luckinbill. They have three kids: Simon, 44, Joseph, 42 and Katharine, 39.
