Lucius, Rodney Crowell added to performer lineup for Austin City Limits Hall of Fame show
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Rodney Crowell and indie-pop band Lucius have been added to the lineup for the Oct. 27 Austin City Limits Hall of Fame induction of Sheryl Crow and Joe Ely at ACL Live, the long-running PBS television program announced Tuesday.
They join previously announced performers Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Brittney Spencer, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Butch Hancock and Marcia Ball. One performer announced last month has dropped off the lineup: legendary singer Mavis Staples, whose cancellation is "due to unforeseen circumstances," according to a statement from "Austin City Limits."

In addition to performing, Carlile also will give the induction speech for Crow. Inducting Ely will be renowned Texas author Lawrence Wright. Both Crow and Ely also will perform as part of the ceremony. Ely's backing crew will include longtime compatriot Lloyd Maines, who'll lead a house band featuring guitarist David Grissom, keyboardist Chris Gage, bassist Bill Whitbeck and drummer Tom Van Schaik.
Tickets, $103-$353, are on sale now via acltv.com/hall-of-fame. Sponsor packages also are available. The annual concert is a fundraiser for Austin PBS. Additional guest performers and presenters will be announced next month.
