Talk about having a strong arm on the mound.

Ludacris threw out the first pitch before the Atlanta Braves hosted the Colorado Rockies on Sept. 4 at Truist Park, but it was what he was wearing that raised eyebrows.

The Grammy winner was decked out with enormous prosthetic arms, gigantic shoes that even a clown would find to be too large and an oversized watch while sporting a sleeveless Braves jersey and ripped jean shorts.

It was a nod to the character he portrayed in the 2004 video for his song “Get Back,” in which he encounters and then attacks an overzealous fan in the bathroom before he walks around the streets with his beefed-up hands on full display.

Ludacris was carted onto the field before sauntering to the pitcher’s mound. With the ball appearing to be stuck onto his prosthetic hand, he reared back and fired a pitch that made it to home plate, prompting him to raise his arms in triumph.

It was all part of a big evening at the ballpark for the Atlanta rapper and actor, who was the center of attention for the team's Ludacris Night. In addition to throwing out the first pitch, he was honored with a bobblehead giveaway, featuring Ludacris in a throwback Hank Aaron Braves jersey. The team also offered food inspired by his own Ludacris’ Chicken and Beer restaurant.

Ludacris and Atlanta’s sports teams have history. He performed at the celebration after the Braves won the World Series in 2021. He also appeared in the team’s 2023 video when it unveiled its City Connect uniform.

In addition, he came down from the roof of Mercedes-Benz Stadium last November while performing at halftime of the game between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons.
