Luke Bryan’s Fans Are ‘Pumped’ About Exciting Announcement
Many country music fans are over the moon about the exciting announcement that Luke Bryan just made.
The country music star teased the news in a post on Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 7. “Guess what’s on my mind,” he prompted alongside a photo of himself standing in a grassy field, a huge smile on his face.
As the “Love You, Miss You, Mean It” singer revealed in a post on Instagram the next day, many fans guessed that he was preparing to release new music. The clip showed several incoming messages from fans, some of whom predicted that there would be “New music coming out” while others simply begged for that wish to come true, writing, “New album please!”
Later on Thursday, Aug. 8, Bryan made the announcement official. A black and white video montage posted on the social media platform showed Bryan, 48, in various clips performing onstage, driving, fishing, spending time with his sons and more. The clip ended with a title card identifying the name of his new album and its release date.
“Y’all will finally know what’s on my mind,” the “One Margarita” singer wrote in his Instagram caption. “The Mind Of A Country Boy ALBUM will be out on 9/27. It’s been a long time coming.” Fans who save or order the album in advance will be able to listen to one new song, “Closing Time in California,” right away, he added.
The news thrilled Bryan’s fans, many of whom rejoiced over the promise of the American Idol judge’s first album since 2020’s Born Here Live Here Die Here.
It “has been WAYY TOO LONG since a new album I’m so excited,” one person wrote as another agreed they “Literally can't wait ????” to hear the new material.
“OMG I can't wait!!! Thank you for another album! I'm so excited! ??,” one Instagram user commented.
“So pumped for this!” another said.
The album’s title matches that of the tour that the father of two kicked off in April. The Mind of a Country Boy tour is slated to continue through mid-September, or about two weeks before Mind of a Country Boy releases on Friday, Sept. 27.
“I knew it,” one fan said of the album title. "I wondered why the new tour name didn't come with an album yet. We just had to wait.”
