Luke Combs introduces heartbreaking new baseball-tinged song at American Family Field
Country-music star Luke Combs kicks off his Growin' Up and Gettin' Old Tour at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, on Friday for the first of back-to-back Milwaukee shows, and he used the setting to introduce a new song.
Combs posted a song called "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" on social media while perched in a chair on the Terrace level of the stadium, all while the stage he would play Friday and Saturday night was getting constructed on the field in the background.
No, the song isn't just a cover of the ritualized in-stadium anthem that shares its name; rather, it's a bit of a tear-jerker about a son coming to terms with divorcing parents and why he can't just catch a game with his father anymore.

"I'm at the ballpark, so I figured I'd share a new one called 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame,'" Combs wrote on social media with the video of the performance, accompanied solely by his guitar.
His tour will hit numerous stadiums, though largely of the football variety; American Family Field will be the lone stop on the tour that typically houses Major League Baseball.
