Luke Combs records video with Post Malone before big MetLife Stadium shows this weekend
Luke Combs had an interesting warm up for his upcoming concerts on Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
The “Fast Car” country star recorded a music video Wednesday, July 17, with Post Malone over five blocks on Lower Broadway in Nashville. The track was “Guy for That” from the upcoming Malone country album, “F-1 Trillion,” due Friday, Aug. 16, according to the Tennessean.
The genre-hopping Malone, who broke out with the 2015 hip-hop hit “White Iverson,” recently dropped the country crossovers “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen and “Pour Me A Drink” with Blake Shelton.
Combs' shows at MetLife are part of his “Growin' Up and Gettin' Old” tour. Music starts at 5:45 p.m., and Combs is scheduled to hit the stage at 9 p.m.
The tour began with shows on April 12 and 13 in Milwaukee.
“We got an opportunity to do two shows in some U.S. markets on the world tour, but when I found out we were going to be able to do two shows for most all of the cities ... I decided I wanted each show to have their own unique set up of openers, as well as my own unique setlist,” Combs said in a statement. “I thought this would give people an opportunity to come to both nights if they want, but see two completely different shows.”
Cody Jinks, Charles Wesley Godwin, Hailey Whitters, and Wilder Blue perform Friday at MetLife; Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Drew Parker, and Colby Acuff on Saturday.

So far, no surprise guests have joined Combs on stage. But how about a Post Malone guest appearance in the swamps of Jersey? Combs' rep had no reply when asked if that was a possibility.
In the words of Combs on a July 10 Instagram audio post of a “Guy for That” snippet, “We doin' this or what”?
