Best new restaurants for lunch in Palm Beach County
There’s no reason to have a sad desk lunch when there’s a batch of new midday menus beckoning in Palm Beach County. While we can come up with many excuses to skip a sit-down restaurant lunch, how about a little love for the least appreciated meal of the day?
Here are some tempting new lunches, new restaurants serving lunch and new menu items to know about.

PB Catch, Palm Beach
What’s new? Lunch service will start for the first time since PB Catch debuted 11 years ago. The Palm Beach restaurant, popular for its extensive raw bar and sustainable fish and seafood offerings, kicks off its first lunch service and new afternoon menu on Monday, Dec. 11.
Menu highlights: Chilled gazpacho with crème fraiche and bagna cauda croutons ($14), lobster roll on a butter-toasted bun and coleslaw ($38), Caribbean rock shrimp salad ($25), grilled chicken sandwich with tomato jam and creamy French feta on toasted focaccia ($22).
Lunch hours: Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m.. to 2:30 p.m. An afternoon and bar menu is available after 2:30 p.m.

Best restaurants: A favorite destination restaurant finds a new home in Palm Beach County
Le Colonial, Delray Beach
What’s new? This retro French-Vietnamese restaurant rolled out a new daily lunch service on Monday, Nov. 27. Le Colonial, which debuted in downtown Delray Beach in February, is offering three types of lunch bento boxes, two of them vegetarian and one of them not.
Menu highlights: Vegetarian bento box featuring Vietnamese chilled vegetable spring roll (bò bía), pickled papaya, vermicelli noodles and nuoc cham dipping sauce ($28).
Lunch hours: Daily from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Harry’s, West Palm Beach
What’s new? A newish, upscale restaurant with New York roots, Harry’s West Palm Beach introduced lunch service in late September. Bonus: The restaurant’s patio is now open for dining.
Menu highlights: Hanover steak and cheese sandwich with caramelized onions ($28), Jonah crab cake with remoulade ($25), Harry’s signature Beef Wellington served with wilted spinach ($46), roasted branzino salad with arugula, olives and lemon-thyme vinaigrette ($29). Plus, mocktails such as the organic shaken matcha lemonade.
Lunch hours: Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Restaurant at The Norton, West Palm Beach
What’s new? The onsite museum restaurant just rolled out its new fall and winter menu. The Restaurant serves lighter bites and contemporary American dishes with a side of garden views.
Menu highlights: Caramelized Brussels Caesar with baby gem lettuce, white anchovies, cherry tomatoes, Parmesan crostini and Caesar dressing ($18), wild mushroom tart featuring Loxahatchee-grown, Gratitude Farm mushrooms, parsnip purée and truffle vinaigrette ($18), warm cacio e pepe zucchini chips presented with a Parmigiano Reggiano dip ($16).
Lunch hours: Daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Friday from 11 a.m. to close, with last seating at 9 p.m.)

Sushi Hara at Palm Beach Meats, West Palm
What’s new? There’s a new sushi bar at the Palm Beach Meats wagyu shop and pop-up venue. A brainchild of sushi chef Gavin Rodriguez, Sushi Hara offers a variety of sushi bites and crudos.
Menu highlights: Citrus salmon crudo with pickled red onions, cucumber, mint and ube crema ($22), hamachi jalape?o with ponzu ($22), tuna tartare with fried capers and mustard wasabi aioli ($24).
Lunch hours: Monday through Saturday at noon.
