CinemaCon 2024 April 10, 2024
While at CinemaCon 2024, Nyong’o flattered her feet in a pair of Carlos sandals. Retailing for $88, the blossoming footwear featured fuschia rosettes on the toes, green velvet leaf appliques, adjustable bedazzled buckle closures, 3.5-inch heels and a leopard-printed base. The style complemented the spring-centric hues of her dress while acting as a contrasting piece with the leopard-printed uppers.

While taking a stroll in New York, the “Us” actress donned Betsey Johnson’s Hollywood mini dress in a leopard-printed style. The slip-style was accompanied by matching leopard-printed pumps from Giuseppe Zanotti featuring sharp triangular toes and sturdy crystalized stiletto heels that stood at around 2 to 3 inches in height.

While in New York on the same day, Nyong’o changed into the brand’s Presely sneakers. The day after, Nyong’o still owned the streets of New York in bright red suede pumps. The footwear style is similar to ones she’s worn from H&M. In a monochrome moment, the “12 Years a Slave” star wore a mini tunic dress from Akris and toted a heart-shaped rotary phone-inspired bag from Betsey Johnson.
In an effort to revive the punk movement, Betsey Johnson was founded in 1978, born in the heart of New York. The brand was conceived with help from ex-model Chantal Bacon and the brand’s namesake American fashion designer Betsey Johnson. Today, the company features a slew of stylish footwear, apparel and accessories that embody the spirit of grunge meets girly. Each style echos founder Johnson’s love of pattern mixing, eye-catching hues and sparkle, creating innovative footwear that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Nyong’o is known to take a daring and bold approach to fashion. From Oscar de la Renta gowns to Valentino minidresses, the entertainer has quickly become a force in fashion. Beyond her love for all things Betsey Johnson, Nyong’o tends to gravitate toward pointy printed pumps, height-defying platforms and bright strappy sandals.
