Lynda Carter & Eric Kripke Pitch ‘Wonder Woman’/’The Boys’ Crossover In Support Of Kamala Harris

Watch out, Homelander! A real hero is here to save the day (political nerds, read into that what you will).

After legendary Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter recently campaigned on behalf of “Geeks and Nerds for Harris Walz” on X, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke jokingly teased the DC crossover event “we didn’t know we needed,” just in time for the 2024 Presidential Election.

“I’m putting out the bat signal for a special meeting… We’re assembling to avenge our rights…” Carter wrote on X last week, after previously showing her support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. “Geeks and Nerds for Harris Walz. Need our finest superheroes. Need YOU. Who’s with me?”

Kripke responded to Carter’s call on Sunday, also including his CW hit series Supernatural in the pitch. “I’m in,” he wrote. “I created #Supernatural & the TV version of #TheBoys. It’s the Sam/Dean/Castiel/Wonder Woman/Homelander cross over we didn’t know we needed. #SPNFamily #GeeksandNerdsforHarrisWalz”

This comes after Kirpke admitted in 2022 to Rolling Stone that the show’s corrupt, all-powerful “supe” Homelander (played by Antony Starr) has “always been a Trump analogue for me,” with the antagonist’s behavior continuing to parallel Harris’ opponent, former president Donald Trump, throughout the series.

“Let’s go, Boys,” replied Carter.

She portrayed the Amazonian superhero Diana in Wonder Woman (aka The New Adventures of Wonder Woman) from 1975 to 1979.

In an era of a superhero multiverses and legacy cameos decades in the making, it’s not totally unheard of that Carter might reprise her iconic portrayal for a current DC property. After all, she’s had roles over the years in Smallville, Supergirl and a Wonder Woman 1984 credits scene.

But Kripke said in June that he has “an ending in mind” for The Boys, which was announced days later to conclude with Season 5 on Prime Video in 2026.
