Mackenzie is one of the 11 competitors on Season 3 of Claim to Fame, ABC‘s reality TV series in which contestants with celebrity relatives must correctly identify each other’s famous family members while not disclosing their own. Hosted by brothers Kevin Jonas and Frankie Jonas, the series, which premiered in 2022, has featured country music legends like Jason Aldean and Dolly Parton. But that’s not the end of the list. Be sure to add who Mackenzie is related to on Claim to Fame Season 3 as well.
Claim to Fame executive producer Eric Detwiler explained to TV Insider in July 2024 how Season 3 upped the ante from previous seasons. “We’ve worked to elevate [the challenges] and tweak them, so that the players can’t figure out the game,” Detwiler said. “One of my favorite things has been the evolution of how we do some of our blindfold challenges. In Season 1, we had all of the contestants lined up, and they were reaching their hands into a box to try to feel the item that was a clue and identify the item. In Season 2, we changed that into a team challenge and had them out on that big grass area with the statues where they were trying to figure out, as they felt these giant statues, what these items were. There’s a wrinkle on that in this coming season.”
Who’s Mackenzie related to on Claim to Fame Season 3?
Mackenzie’s celebrity relative is country music singer Trace Adkins. Mackenzie, whose full name is Mackenzie Adkins, is Trace’s daughter. Mackenzie’s two truths and a lie also confirm that Trace is her celebrity relative. (Yes, that means unlike her competitor, Gracie Lou, who pretended that her celebrity relative was a country singer, Mackenzie’s relative is actually a part of country music industry.)
Her two truth and a lie were that her celebrity relative is her dad, a singer, and has won a Tony. Mackenzie is Trace’s daughter with his third wife, Rhonda Forlaw, making him Mackenzie’s dad. That means that Mackenzie’s lie was that her celebrity relative won a Tony. Though Adkins hasn’t won a Tony he does have three Grammy nominations, three Academy of Country Music Swards, and two Country Music Television Awards.
Mackenzie also confirmed Trace as her celebrity relative in the biography of her X account, in which she wrote: “Am Mackenzie Adkins daughter of Trace Adkins the famous Music in the World.” The header photo of her profile is also a picture of her and Adkin in the car. Mackenzie was also featured in the music video for Adkins’ 2000 song, “More,” which further confirms him as her celebrity relative.
Who’s Trace Adkins, Mackenzie’s relative?
For those unfamiliar with country music, Trace Adkins is a country music singer best known for number-one songs like “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing”, “Ladies Love Country Boys”, and “You’re Gonna Miss This,” which hit number one on Billboard’s country charts in 1997, 2007, and 2008, respectively. Adkins made his debut as a country singer in 1996 with the album, “Dreamin’ Out Loud.” He’s released 10 more albums since then, including two Greatest Hits compilations.
Like Mackenzie, he’s also appeared as himself in multiple game and reality shows, including Hollywood Squares, Pyramid, and The All Star Celebrity Apprentice, which he won in 2013. Adkins has been married three times. He was married to his first wife, Julie Lauren Curtis, from 1991 to 1994. He was married to his second wife, Rhona Forlaw, from 1997 to 2015. He married his third and current wife, actress Victoria Pratt, in 2019.
He has two children with Lewis: daughters Tarah and Sarah. Along with Mackenzie, he also has two more daughters with Forlaw: Briana and Trinity.
Claim to Fame is available to stream on Hulu.
