Macy's firework display returning to the Hudson River. How to watch

It's almost time for the Macy's 48th annual July 4th fireworks display, and it's star-studded show of musical performances and guest appearances.

Four-time Grammy Award-nominated recording artist Mickey Guyton and American Ninja Warrior sideline reporter Zuri Hall will host the show, featuring performances by Lainey Wilson, Tanner Adell, Brandy Clark, Luis Fonsi, Mickey Guyton, Amber Mark, The War And Treaty and more.

How to watch Macy's fireworks

This year's iconic display will make a return to launch from the Hudson River, for the first time in 10 years, offering live front-row views from both sides of the river, in New York and New Jersey. In the last nine years, it launched from the East River, offering those front-row views to Brooklyn and Queens.

  • New Jersey live view: front row along the Hudson River from Hoboken, Weehawken and West New York.

  • New York Live view: front row along the Hudson River in Manhattan between West 14th and West 34th Streets.

  • TV broadcast and streaming destinations: watch on NBC and Peacock.

When are the Macy’s July 4 fireworks?

The show will start at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock with an encore presentation airing at 10 p.m. ET

The fireworks display is typically scheduled to begin at approximately 9:25 p.m. ET

The largest fireworks show in the country

The Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular sets of an average of 1,600 shells per minute, viewed by more than 3 million spectators and a TV audience of more that 8 million, according to news reports.

The 25-minute show will include over 60,000 shells that will be set off from five barges, and reach heights up to 1,000 feet high above the water.
