Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson lead the ensemble, with Jared Harris, Greta Lee, Gabriel Basso, Tracy Letts and Moses Ingram rounding out the cast. The project marks Bigelow’s first since the 2017 thriller Detroit, an awards contender produced and distributed by Annapurna Pictures. News of the film was first divulged by Netflix recently during its Upfront presentation in New York, which also saw the streamer tease Happy Gilmore 2 and the thriller The Woman in Cabin 10 starring Keira Knightley. Previously, Bigelow had been developing another Netflix film that never got off the ground — an adaptation of the novel Aurora from David Koepp.
For Beasley, a recent graduate of the Yale School of Drama, Bigelow’s project marks his first on-screen role.
Best known for starring alongside Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in Paramount+’s Yellowstone prequel 1923, Nieves has also been seen in Shudder’s V/H/S/99, among other projects. She was named one of BAFTA’s Breakthrough Talents in 2023.
Beasley and Nieves are both repped by Gersh. Beasley is also represented by Door 24 Entertainment; Nieves by M88.
