Mandy Moore, Wanda Sykes, Danny Trejo and More to Appear on New Season of HGTV's “Celebrity IOU ”(Exclusive)
The upcoming season starring 'Property Brothers' Drew and Jonathan Scott will arrive August 12
The next season of HGTV's Celebrity IOU has stars trading in their skateboards, scrubs and SAG Awards for saws and sledgehammers!
Jennifer Jason Leigh, Mandy Moore, Mira Sorvino, Wanda Sykes, Zach Braff, Tony Hawk and Danny Trejo are on the list of special guests in the popular Property Brothers spinoff, which PEOPLE can exclusively reveal premieres on HGTV on Monday, Aug. 12.
The seven-episode season, which promises "epic home transformations" alongside stars Drew and Jonathan Scott, will showcase the seven celebrities as they tackle surprise renovations for others in an effort to "express gratitude to people who have deeply impacted their lives."
“Celebrity IOU is about giving back to people who have already given so much, but it’s also about watching these celebrities get their hands dirty and get creative in a way you never get to see otherwise,” Jonathan said in a release. “They have amazing design eyes and ideas — it’s totally different than the way you usually see them.”
“The celebs are always willing to get in there and do things they’ve never done before,” Drew added. “They also come up with solutions we wouldn’t necessarily think of, because they know the recipient and what that person needs so well. They really mean business.”

The premiere episode kicks off with Moore, 40, as she gives her friend of 15 years, Celina, a backyard makeover. After discovering an "unsafe covered patio," the This Is Us alum and the Scotts aim to give Celina an "an upgraded oasis."
Drew and Jonathan, both 46, first launched their Celebrity IOU series in April 2020 and have since featured familiar faces like Brad Pitt, Viola Davis, Laurence Fishburne and Ray Romano.
Ahead of season 7 premiering in January, the twin brothers caught up with PEOPLE and described their recent co-star Romano as a “Property Brother from another mother.”
“Ray Romano is one of those people who is not trying to be funny — he's just funny,” Drew said. “We were laughing that we almost feel like we're three brothers. He's like a Property Brother from another mother who's a little less handy.”
At the time, Jonathan added that its touching to see A-listers “jump in and do something that they have no experience doing. They don't say no because they want to show their gratitude for how much these people have done for them.”

An exclusive clip of the season 8 guest appearances, above, shows Trejo holding an electric saw and Sykes joking that while she's done "some demolition" before, it "wasn't intentional."
At one point in the clip, Sykes even pokes her head through a smashed-in wall while announcing "Honey, I'm home."
The Scott Brothers Entertainment show arrives on HGTV on Aug. 12 at 9 p.m. local time.
