Will Manny Get Arrested Before Gabriela’s Wedding on ‘Fire Country’?
Stephanie Arcila as Gabriela Perez in 'Fire Country' Season 2
Season 2 of Fire Country has been building toward Gabriela Perez (Stephanie Arcila) and Diego Moreno’s (Rafael de la Fuente) wedding, and in the finale, it’s finally here. Executive producer and showrunner Tia Napolitano is personally thrilled about it.
“I love a wedding,” she told Parade. “I'm so excited about the wedding. I love everything about it. I love wedding dresses. I loved getting married.”
She added that the episode will be “super romantic,” and have “huge, heightened soap stakes.”

Those stakes include Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) having to decide whether he will speak now or forever hold his peace about how much he still loves Gabriela, and if Manny Perez (Kevin Alejandro) can avoid being arrested long enough to attend his daughter’s wedding. And they way everything goes down won’t be what you’re expecting.

“It's gonna be an emotional roller coaster,” Arcila warned. “People definitely might cry. People might be in shock.”
Where’s Manny?
Arcila said the most shocking thing for her was seeing where Manny’s story goes.
The last we saw of the former Three Rock captain, he had just found out that there was a warrant out for his arrest over his act of reckless violence at the fundraiser in Episode 8, so he snuck off from the site of the Lazarus fire deep in the woods toward somewhere unknown.
Alejandro said that Manny is doing this because the most important thing to him right now is to be there for Gabriela’s wedding. He’ll deal with the consequences of his decisions later, but at the moment he’s focused on being there to walk his only daughter down the aisle.
“I promised her since she was a little girl that I'm always going to be there, no matter how hard it's going to be in life,” Alejandro said, describing Manny’s state of mind. “And I'm gonna do everything in my power, so that we have that moment where I can tell you before I walk you down the aisle, how proud I am of you, and how much I love you. That's what's feeding his decisions up until this point.”
We know what Manny wants, but a lot of things have to go right for him to achieve his goal. “I think the question is, will Manny be there? Will he be able to be there? Will the law let him be there? When do people notice that he's not around?” Napolitano said. “So I think there's a lot of anticipation of how this day is going to look and what's Manny's involvement in it.”
To find out, tune in for the Season 2 finale of Fire Country on Friday, May 17 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
