Derek and Julianne Hough are pretty well-known TV personalities, who are both better known for their stint as professional dancers on the hit competition series Dancing With the Stars. Well, and for the curious fact that the siblings appeared on the show at the same time, both as pro dancers. That has left many people wondering, are there any more Hough siblings outside of Derek and Julianne?

Who are Derek and Julianne Hough’s other siblings?
The answer is yes, Derek and Julianne are not the only Hough siblings. They aren’t even the oldest of the Hough siblings. Derek, who is older than Julianne by three years, is still the second youngest child. The pair have three oldest sisters, Sharee, Marabeth, and Katherine.
But it’s with their parents that the seed of where Derek and Julianne ended up was planted. Or, perhaps with their grandparents. After all, all of their grandparents were dancers, and Derek and Julianne’s parents, Bruce and Marianne Hough, met while on a ballroom dancing team while in college in Idaho. Talk about serendipity! The pair then went on to marry and have five children, who were all raised in the Mormon faith.

Their family lived in Utah until Derek and Julianne’s parents divorced and their mother, Marianne, remarried, which is when they moved to Las Vegas. Interestingly enough, when Derek was 12, his parents sent him to London to study with dance coaches Corky and Shirley Ballas – with Julianne joining him months later – and the two were tutored alongside another former Dancing With the Stars pro, Mark Ballas, for years. Derek stayed in London for 10 years, Julianne for 5.
Derek and Julianne’s stepfather, Aaron Nelson, had four children from a previous marriage, so on top of their three sisters, Derek and Julianne have four step-siblings: Brittany, Kallie, Kimberly, and A.J. Now, that’s a pretty large family. And though they’re not all in the spotlight like Derek and Julianne, at least one of their siblings is also a professional dancer.

Indeed, their older sister Sharee is also a professional dancer who received training from the Ballet West Conservatory and danced professionally for multiple dance and theater companies. She danced alongside her sister Julianne in the film remake of Footloose. That, however, is where the dancing ends in the family as sister Marabeth is a realtor, and sister Katherine is a licensed esthetician. Not everyone could follow the same path, after all. Their step-siblings are also not in the entertainment industry.
Both Derek and Julianne have achieved enormous success as pro dancers, with Derek winning Dancing With the Stars six times and winning 4 Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography, and Julianne winning the show 2 times and winning one Emmy Award as well. They have both also done acting work, and Julianne is now the co-host of Dancing With the Stars alongside Alfonso Ribeiro, while Derek is one of the show’s judges.
