Grammy-winning performer Maren Morris, critically acclaimed artist Brittney Spencer and Live Nation Women's president Ali Harnell will be honored for their contributions to the music industry and passion for music education at an event co-hosted by CMT's senior vice president of music strategy Leslie Fram and CMT's 2024 "Next Women of Country" inductee, Angie K.
The Save the Music Foundation fundraiser will feature acoustic performances from Americana, country and roots artists Abbey Cone, Allison Russell (with Ruby Amanfu), Brandy Clark and Joy Oladokun, and Morris and Spencer.
Danielle Zalaznick, Deputy Executive Director and Chief Development Officer of SaveThe Music, offers the following note via a press statement:
“This year's ‘Hometown to Hometown’ event is especially exciting as we celebrate our fifth year and, for the second time, feature an all-female roster of executives, songwriters, and artists. We're incredibly grateful to Ali, Brittney, Maren, and this year's performers for empowering young people through music. Since Save The Music first teamed up with Ross Copperman in 2019, the Nashville music and songwriter community has funded 12 music education programs through this annual event, enabling thousands of students to make music during the school day.”
2023's "Hometown to Hometown" event honored Mickey Guyton, Trisha Yearwood and 2024 event host Fram, plus featured performances by Kelsea Ballerini, Madeline Edwards, Caylee Hammack, Karyn Rochelle, Leslie Satcher, 2024 honoree Spencer and Julie Williams.
