Margot Robbie Says She'll "See What I Can Do" About the 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' TV Adaptation

Earlier this year, a photo of Margot Robbie and author Sarah J. Maas having coffee went viral.

Maas is best known for her hit A Court of Thorns and Roses series, called ACOTAR, by fans—and it turns out that Robbie is a fangirl as well. "I’m beyond obsessed. She’s the coolest. You know she’s in her 30s? She’s also a genius," Robbie told Harper's Bazaar. "We’ve become friends. It’s like, oh, you’re like all my girls—I love it."

She's read all of Maas's books "a million times over" but her favorite book by Maas has to be A Court of Thorns and Roses, however. "I think ACOTAR was my like way in, so that’s always [my favorite], I don’t know—it’s tough. I really couldn’t say—God, it’s like picking a favorite child. They’re all perfect," she says.

In 2021, a TV show based on the ACTOAR series was announced to be in development by Ron D. Moore, the creator of the Outlander TV show. Yet, this past summer, Moore revealed he is "no longer working" on the drama. "I had worked on it for a while but it was still in development, as they say, when I left," he said, per Entertainment Weekly. "So I don't know what the status is anymore."

Could Robbie get involved in a possible ACOTAR adaptation? "I’ll see what I can do," she told Bazaar.
