Mariah Carey Adds 8 More Shows To Her Must-See Las Vegas Residency
Upon Mariah Carey returning to Dolby Live at Park MGM for her Las Vegas residency this Friday (July 26), the global icon has also announced an additional eight shows kicking off in 2025.
Mariah Carey: The Celebration of Mimi Live in Las Vegas has been running since April of this year and will now extend until Feb. 15, 2025.
The unforgettable music event “chronicles Mariah’s life story and musical journey from the beginning of her career throughout her biggest hits and fan favorites.” The vocal virtuoso — who can still bring chills as she hits all five octaves — includes hits from her vast discography like “We Belong Together,” “Shake It Off,” “Don’t Forget About Us,” and many more.
In between songs, the 55-year-old also shares personal stories from her life and her decades long career.
The extension of Carey’s residency follows the first half that took place from April 12-27 in celebration of the 19th anniversary of The Emancipation Of Mimi. Her previous Sin City residencies were from 2015 to 2017 and then again in 2018 for “The Butterfly Returns” residency — which concluded right before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Carey remains the best-selling female artist of all time with more than 200 million albums sold to date and 18 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles — more than any solo artist in history.
The 5X Grammy-winner is also donating a dollar from every ticket purchased from her residency to The Fresh Air Fund’s Camp Mariah. The summer program is for children, ages 11-15, to “explore their interests in classes like film, photography, fashion, culinary arts, debate and international relations.” Camp Mariah was named after Carey who is a Board member.
