Mark Wahlberg Debuts New Municipal Golf Shoe to Celebrate 53rd Birthday

Mark Wahlberg debuted a fashionable new Municipal golf shoe to celebrate his 53rd birthday on June 5. Unfortunately, the sneakers won’t be available until the fall, but Wahlberg offered fans an exclusive glimpse on his Instagram.

Municipal is an online-only brand co-founded by Wahlberg, Harry Arnett, and Stephen Levinson that specializes in luxurious, fashionable workout attire designed with style and comfort in mind.

Notorious sneaker-head Wahlberg wanted to craft a brand which centered a desirable exercise shoe. The brand’s first innovation, which appears frequently on Wahlberg’s social media and is dubbed the Origin, was crafted from breathable mesh and suede overlays to create a shoe perfect for gym trips or grocery runs.

In his Wednesday sneaker tease, Wahlberg offered an up-close look at Municipal’s new, canary-yellow offering without divulging any product details—including a prospective name.

The fresh sneakers are comprised of two different shades of yellow, including a darker hue wrapping around the body and a complimentary lighter yellow filling in the top and toe of the shoe. The sole is sleek black and grey rubber with “Municipal” printed across the bottom of each shoe.

“Got the new golf shoe for my birthday,” Wahlberg captioned the post, “there [sic] will be available for you in the fall.”

Municipal’s website doesn’t currently offer any information about the new golf shoe, so sneakerheads will have to keep their eyes peeled come fall.
