Marla Sokoloff Expecting Second Child

Marla Sokoloff is on her way to having a full house: she’s pregnant!

The actress is expecting her second child with her husband, musician Alec Puro, in the spring, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

“Alec and I are beyond excited to be adding to our family and can’t wait for Elliotte to be the best big sister ever (no pressure!),” the mom-to-be tells PEOPLE.

Sokoloff, who recently wrapped a guest run on The Fosters, has been considering expanding her family with Puro, the composer for Manhattan Love Story, since the couple’s 2?-year-old daughter’s first birthday.

But at the time, Sokoloff, 33, had only just gotten her groove back and decided to wait a bit longer before giving Elliotte a sibling.

“Obviously Alec and I want to have another child and talk about adding to our family all of the time, I just think I maybe need another birthday to pass before we start the real-deal discussion,” she wrote in a March 2013 installment of her PEOPLE.com blog series.

Sokoloff and Puro will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary next month, after tying the knot during an evening ceremony in Beverly Hills in November 2009.
