For those who aren’t aware, Vivian — one of Elon’s 12 kids — legally changed her name and gender in 2022, noting that she doesn't want “to be related to [her] biological father in any way, shape or form.”

In July, Elon — who previously tweeted that “pronouns suck” — made a series of anti-trans remarks about Vivian during a conversation with Jordan Peterson.

Not only did the billionaire vow to “destroy the woke mind virus” and say he was “tricked” into authorizing gender-affirming care procedures for Vivian, but he later deadnamed her on X and said she “was born gay and slightly autistic.” Vivian hit back at Elon via Threads shortly afterwards.

Now, comedian and actor Marlon — who also has a trans child — has addressed Elon’s remarks about Vivian.

For context, Marlon has talked openly about how he navigated learning that his child, Kai, is transgender. “I have a daughter that transitioned into a son,” he said on The Breakfast Club last November. “I talk about the transition. Not his…their transition but my transition as a parent, going from ignorance and denial to complete unconditional love and acceptance.”

What’s more, Marlon — who also fathers two more children — further recalled shifting from “defiance to acceptance” over the course of a week when Kai first came out. “In that week, I grew the most that I ever did in my life,” he told People. “You understand the purpose of kids and the beauty of unconditional love. At the end of the day, in my heart, the only thing that matters to me is that my child is happy.”

Appearing on the Club Shay Shay podcast recently, Marlon said of Elon, “I don’t like what he be saying about his trans child. You don’t treat them babies like that, you don’t disown your baby. Love your child!”

Marlon’s remarks have since sparked a heap of praise online, with several internet users going on to acknowledge other celebrity parents who are proud advocates for their trans and non-binary children.

“Marlon Wayans, David Tennant, Colin Mochrie...big up the celebrity parents proudly loving their trans and non-binary children,” one Reddit user wrote. David is a proud supporter of his non-binary child, Wilfred, while Colin has long advocated for his trans daughter, Kinley.

Other users piled praise onto the likes of Dwyane Wade, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Cher, all of whom are proud parents of transgender kids.

Dwyane and his wife, Gabrielle Union, have fiercely supported their daughter Zaya since she came out as transgender at age 12. In fact, Dwyane even noted that Zaya's initial fear of confiding in him about her gender identity left him reevaluating himself as a parent: “I had to go look at myself in the mirror and ask myself... What is it about my masculinity that has my child afraid?” he shared.

Meanwhile, Jamie has also proudly supported her trans daughter, Ruby, since she came out in 2021. Last year, the actor celebrated Transgender Day of Visibility, with a sweet Instagram post, writing: "A mother's love knows no judgment. As a mother, I stand in total solidarity with my children as they move forward in the universe as their authentic selves with their own minds and bodies and ideas. On this trans visibility day my daughter and I are visible."

Cher, who has long been vocal about her love and support for her son Chaz, has publicly discussed initially struggling when she learned that he was transgender. However, she later shared that it wasn't exactly the transition that she found "difficult." She said, "It’s hard to lose one child to get a new one, especially so late. I think that was the hard thing for me."
