Married at First Sight alum Andrew Jury is dead at 33.
On Monday, July 1, Page Six confirmed that a man who died in an Aukland, New Zealand prison was Jury, who appeared in Season 1 of Married at First Sight New Zealand in 2017.
Jury died on Thursday, June 27, at Mt. Eden Corrections Facility, The New Zealand Herald reported. He was reportedly discovered dead in his cell hours before a scheduled court appearance.
An investigation is underway, and the cause of death has not yet been revealed.
“There is no indication that his death is suspicious,” Dion Paki, Mt. Eden prison general manager, told the publication.
He added: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends. Other men in the unit and staff are being provided with support, including access to chaplains and cultural support where requested.”

On April 2, Jury was arrested and charged with unlawfully entering a building, assault with intent to injure, willful damage, possession of an offensive weapon and threatening behavior, his father, Roy Jury, later told The New Zealand Herald.
“I and Andy’s extended family and friends are deeply saddened and bewildered by this distressing event," Roy told the publication.
Additionally, Roy explained that his son had been "struggling" in prison and that he was concerned about Andrew's mental health ahead of his hearing.
“It should have been a red flag when Andy stopped communicating with family and friends,” Roy shared.
