Marvel Studios’ ‘The Eternals': Gemma Chan in Talks to Join Cast
Gemma Chan (“Crazy Rich Asians”) is in talks to join Marvel’s “The Eternals,” which focuses on a group of ancient human beings, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap. Chan previously played Minn-Erva in “Captain Marvel.” It is unknown if Chan will reprise her role or will play a different character. If it is a new role, this would be the first time that an actor played separate roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chloe Zhao (“The Rider”) will direct from a script by blacklist screenwriters Matthew and Ryan Firpo. “The Eternals” will focus on the race of ancient, superpowered humans created by Jack Kirby in 1976.
