Mary J. Blige is once again bringing her music to life with an original movie. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul is set to executive produce Family Affair for Lifetime as well as additional new titles with a new multi-picture deal. Exclusively reported by Variety, the film is inspired by the 2001 song of the same name and will debut in 2025 as part of the network’s Voices of a Lifetime slate.

Family Affair furthers the story introduced in 2023’s Real Love and continued in Strength Of A Woman. Both Ajiona Alexus and Da’Vinchi will reprise their leading roles.
