‘The Masked Singer 12’ Episode 8 recap: Who was eliminated in ‘Miley Cyrus Night’?
It was “Miley Cyrus Night” on “The Masked Singer” and the remaining Group C singers threw a “Party In The USA” by opening the show with the iconic hit! Then, the celebrities paid homage to some of Miley’s amazing “Bangerz” including, “Used To Be Young,” “Midnight Sky,” “Wrecking Ball” and “When I Look At You.” So who advanced to the Group C finals? And who was unmasked in the all-new “Miley Cyrus Night” episode of “The Masked Singer” airing Wednesday, Nov. 20 (8:00-9:02 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
The Season 12 contestants boast 21 Grammy nominations, 14 Emmy nominations, and 202 film appearances. Five of them even know Taylor Swift! Play detective with panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora. Nick Cannon hosts the wild and wacky fun!

At the end of this Miley Cyrus extravaganza, it was Ice King who had to pull off his mask following a performance of “Midnight Sky.” Despite his rockin’ vocals on the pop hit and being called a “crowd favorite” by Jenny, Ice King fell short of the Group C finals. His final clue revealed he was a Teen Choice Award winner, which led panelists to guess he was Joe Jonas (Ken), Shia LaBeouf (Rita), James Franco (Jenny) or Cole Sprouse (Robin). When the mystery man pulled off his mask, it was actually Jenny’s guess from earlier in the episode, singer and actor Drake Bell!
Sherlock Hound sang “Used To Be Young” and Rita called it a “beautiful opening to the show.” The panelists, convinced he’s a rock-and-roller, guessed he was John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls (Ken), Scott Stapp of Creed (Jenny), Hozier (Rita), or Nate Ruess of FUN. Strawberry Shortcake sang “Wrecking Ball” and Robin called her his “favorite frontrunner of the season.” The panelists believe she is Chloe Fineman (Ken), Hilary Duff (Rita), or Ashley Tisdale (Robin). The Royal Knight closed out the show with “When I Look At You.” Ken showered the performer with compliments, bringing her to tears. The panelists guessed Royal Knight could be Amanda Seyfried (Rita), Jennifer Love Hewitt (Jenny), or Aubrey Plaza (Ken). Of course, we have other ideas.
