What is Jenny McCarthy thinking? Or should we say, Watts is she thinking?

The Masked Singer returns Wednesday (Fox, 8/7c) after a brief World Series-induced hiatus, and as you’ll see in TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek of the episode, McCarthy thinks she has the Bluebell all figured out. The catch? As usual, she’s way off.

More from TVLine

Picking up on clues about a public breakup and a proud Australian heritage, McCarthy declares that it could be two-time Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts under that flowery exterior. And while it’s not an entirely illogical conclusion to reach, TVLine has another idea about the secret celebrity.

If we had to bet money, we’d guess that Bluebell is actually ’90s songbird Natalie Imbruglia. How did we reach that conclusion? For starters, Kelly Osbourne introduced Bluebell as her Masked Singer ambassador, and a simple Google search will show Osbourne and Imbruglia’s names alongside one another in plenty of tabloid headlines. The ripped photograph in her clue package could have been a nod to Imbruglia’s 1997 debut single “Torn,” while the phoenix is likely referencing her 2021 album Firebird.

Wednesday’s episode, aka ’60s Night, will end with a double elimination, revealing which remaining member of Group B — Bluebell, Goo or Wasp — will move on to the next round.
