Warning: This article contains spoilers from the season 10 premiere of The Masked Singer.

The Masked Singer season 10 competition is off with a bang — literally.

To kick off the episode — which marked the official start of the season after a special one-off premiere on Sept. 10 revealed Demi Lovato as unofficial competitor Anonymouse — longtime panelists Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke joined host Nick Cannon on stage as a fireworks and drone show lit up the skies around them. It took all of one minute and 58 seconds for Cannon to make a joke about his copious progeny — and how else would we know Masked Singer is really back?

With five contestants set to take the stage in this first group, the episode wasted no time in moving things along. First up was the stunning Gazelle, who in addition to apparently being a movie star, also has some seriously enviable pipes. She sung "Uninvited" by Alanis Morissette. Next up was Diver, who apparently has a bit of a bad reputation at the moment. He sung an upbeat rendition of "Any Way You Want It" by Journey. Then there was S'more, who told us he went from "obscurity to major heartthrob status in a matter of weeks." After singing his smooth-as-butter version of "Slow Hands" by Niall Horan, he presented Scherzinger with a stick of marshmallows with roses on it, and just like that, another Scherzinger Masked Singer crush was born.

From there, Rubber Ducky — quite possibly the show's most creative costume to date — and Cow finished off the night. The former sang "Come on Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners, and the latter continued the show's tradition of ending the night with a bang — Cow brought the house down with "Bones" by Imagine Dragons.

The episode was jam-packed, but somehow Fox managed to squeeze in two different appearances by David Spade, who was there to promote his new show Snake Oil (ah, synergy). The first appearance came in the form of giving an onstage clue for Gazelle, and the second came in the form of Jeong meeting him backstage to comically pitch him on an "extremely durable strong hair gel for extremely vain singers" called "The Robin Thicke."

At the end of the episode, the only thing left to do was to send the first competitor home, and it was Rubber Ducky who ultimately was flushed down the tub. Guesses for his identity were all over the place — McCarthy-Wahlberg went with Marlon Wayans, Thicke guessed David Arquette, and Scherzinger opted for Jaleel White.

However, the panelists previously teased to EW that this season Jeong is really on his game (you might even say it's Season Ken), and that was true from this very first episode. He guessed that Rubber Ducky was comedian and Black-ish star Anthony Anderson, and he wasn't Ken Jeong wrong.
