Are you as into “The Masked Singer” as we are? As much as we love watching the over-the-top performances on “The Masked Singer,” we get even more enjoyment from figuring out the names of the celebrities competing. That is especially true if we can crack the code as to who is hiding inside a costume before the four judges (Ken JeongJenny McCarthy, Rita Ora, Robin Thicke).

Season 12 of “The Masked Singer” is proving to be the most competitive yet. The producers packed the line-up with 17 stars. One of the two women who contended in Week 4 was disguised as Bluebell and she wowed the crowd with her cover of the Pat Benatar tune “We Belong.”

We’ve been reviewing the clues and that performance on October 16 as well as the sneak peek of her cover of the Dua Lipa hit “Dance The Night” on October 23 and have all your “The Masked Singer” spoilers, including the answer to the question, “Who is Bluebell”?

We are convinced that Bluebell is Natalie Imbruglia, the Australian singer/songwriter who shot to fame in the late 1990s. Don’t agree? Well consider just how well all the clues fit with Natalie’s life story, including her connection to Ambassador Kelly Osbourne.

After getting her start as a teenager on the Australian soap opera “Neighbours,” Natalie turned to music and scored a worldwide hit with her first single, “Torn.” In turn, that propelled sales of her debut album,  ‘Left of the Middle.” She reaped three Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist (as a group, this season’s contestants on “The Masked Singer” have a combined 45 bids for music’s highest honor.)

Kelly referenced this “overnight success.” She also acknowledged that she and Bluebell had “made headlines together.” Back in 2002, Kelly dissed Natalie during the 2002 Aria Awards, calling her names and pretending to be asleep during her performance. The bad blood dated back to when Kelly’s sister Aimee had dated Daniel Johns, the frontman for the Australian rock band Silverchair, who Natalie later married.

The clues package  for Bluebell was all about the gossip, from flash bulbs to tabloids. Bluebell spoke about being the subject of gossip for her romances with “rockstars, billionaires and even royals.” Besides Johns, Natalie was said to have dated the son of business tycoon Richard Branson and Prince Harry.

Bluebell spoke of only recently finding her true love – Natalie had a baby in 2019 and has spoken movingly about the joys of motherhood.

In the package, we saw a blue guitar emblazoned with a phoenix; Natalie’s new album is called “Firebird” (another name for a phoenix).

The ripped blue jeans in the clues package reference her first hit single “Torn” (as did the ripped photo on October 23) while the cargo pants and crop tops referenced by Kelly were part of Natalie’s signature look.

And we know that Natalie loves “The Masked Singer.” Two years ago, she won season three of the British version of the show while disguised as a Panda. (We know that one of this season’s contenders already competed on an international edition of the show).

In her second appearance, the Bluebell revealed that her career had stalled for a while, which matches up with Natalie’s bio. After her albums sales slipped, she returned to acting.

We saw the sun rise and heard Bluebell declare life was “blue-tiful,” which we took together to reference Natalie becoming a mother to a baby boy.

We will only find out if we are right that Bluebell is Natalie Imbruglia when she is unmasked. That will happen when she loses a vote or wins the show. Do you think we are right about the true identity of Bluebell? Sound off in the comments section with your best guesses.
