Matt Damon and Wife Luciana Opt for Complementary Dior Looks for Met Gala 2024 Red Carpet
Matt Damon and his wife of nearly 20 years, Luciana Damon, made the Met Gala their ideal date night on Monday. The couple attended the evening’s festivities in New York City, among the bevy of stars who came out for one of fashion’s biggest events of the year.
For the occasion, both Matt and Luciana fashioned complementary black-and-white looks. Matt wore a sleek and clean tuxedo, courtesy of Dior Men. The black-and-white look featured a white shirt with a black bow tie and black suit coat and tailored pants. The actor completed his ensemble with black dress shoes.

As for Luciana’s look, she fashioned a design courtesy of Dior Couture’s spring 2022 collection. The strapless white column gown featured intricate detailing on the bust and a coordinated scarf with the same design. For her accessories, Luciana fashioned a silver cuff bracelet and delicate earrings. The couple’s looks were curated by stylist Karla Welch.
Fashion designer Maria Grazia Chiuri helmed Dior Couture’s spring 2022 collection, for which craftsmanship was front-of-mind. With embroidery as one of the main themes of the collection, designs in the spring 2022 collection featured little adornments, offering simple, elegant silhouettes. The collection was showcased during Paris Fashion Week in January 2022. The show’s backdrop was a set featuring the work of Indian artists Madhvi and Manu Parekh.
The Met Gala raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and celebrates the Costume Institute’s annual exhibits. This year’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” nods to the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit, which will open to the public on Friday. The 2024 event is co-chaired by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour.
