Matt LeBlanc Surprises Former ‘Friends’ Co-Star Dakota Fanning (Really) on ‘Live’
It was a wonderful moment on Live on Thursday when Matt LeBlanc came from backstage to surprise Dakota Fanning. LeBlanc and Fanning had worked together in 2004 when she appeared in an episode of the final season of Friends. Host Kelly Ripa asked Fanning about her appearance on the sitcom and if she’d met LeBlanc backstage. When she said she hadn’t, LeBlanc came out, and Fanning’s genuine surprise made it obvious this was not a planned moment.
Fanning, now 22, described how she was starstruck meeting LeBlanc, and admitted that she wasn’t her normally well-spoken self when speaking with the actor.
“He was asking me something, I don’t remember what you were asking, but I was, like, not answering or not saying the right response to the question. I remember my mom was standing next to me and I looked up at her and she was like, ‘What has happened to you? What is wrong?’ ” Fanning said.
LeBlanc recognized the talent in the young Fanning, saying that though she was very young, he felt like he was being shown up.
LeBlanc went backstage so Fanning could finish her interview, but was quickly called back out when Ripa was told they had a clip of the two from Friends. LeBlanc and Fanning laughed through the clip of a very young and snarky Mackenzie (Fanning), and a very upset Joey.
‘The Walking Dead’ is filming at Tyler Perry’s studio and it’s scary:
