McDonald's Customers Are 'So Excited' for New Collectible Happy Meal Featuring Fan-Favorite Plush Toy
After fans went wild for new nostalgia-inducing collectible cups from McDonald's, the fast food brand took it a step further with new Happy Meal toys featuring a collaboration with two well-known properties—Hello Kitty and Yu-Gi-Oh!
Food influencer Snackolator shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a photo of all the unique Happy Meal toys fans can get their hands on as they wrote, "McDonald's heard how much you love the Hello Kitty cups and figured they'd drop a Happy Meal at the same time!"
They later added the update that one of the toys in the image isn't available in the U.S., but there are currently nine toys American fans will want to run to McDonald's to get their hands on.
"Ok the amount of mcds im about to be consuming haha ??," wrote one fan in reaction to the news, while another commented, "So excited! Can’t believe we actually got something cool from an overseas promo. ???? gonna try for Cinnamoroll and Chococat. ?."
A different excited fan said, "ME AND MY BF WERE JUST TALKING ABT THIS LAST NIGHT."
While most people were ecstatic about the new collaboration, a few were upset about the one toy that isn't available in the United States, with comments like, "Not having badtz maru is a crime," and "im pissed they did badtz maru like that."
The new Happy Meal toys come not long after McDonald's introduced the "Collector's Meal" featuring nostalgic collectible cups. There are a variety of designs featuring Hot Wheels, Beanie Babies, Barbie, Hello Kitty and more. Despite the hype, some fans were "disappointed" in the brand for the quality of the plastic cups, especially after comparing them to the glass cups released in years past.
After multiple surprising releases from McDonald's so far this year, fans of the food chain are interested to see what it comes out with next.
