To say “that’s so fetch” would be an understatement. With new girls taking on the mantle as the “Plastics,” a few changes will also take place in the upcoming musical iteration of the 2004 classic Mean Girls. The latest video, released via Mean Girls’ official X (formerly Twitter) account, showcases some changes to the iconic “Jingle Bell Rock” sequence.

Originally performed by Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert, the particular scene has been deemed one of the most iconic moments in the Mark Waters-directed teen flick. Aiming to create “new rules” for the adaptation, choreographer Kyle Hanagami takes viewers behind-the-scenes of the dance sequences from the upcoming musical.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Mean Girls without the Christmas dance performance. The newly released clip previews a more sultry dance step to the “Jingle Bell Rock” song, which is sensual enough to shock Mrs. Heron (Jenna Fischer). You can watch the clip below:

“Plastic is forever”

The synopsis for Mean Girls reads: “New student Cady Heron is welcomed into the top of the social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called ‘The Plastics,’ ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George and her minions Gretchen and Karen. However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina’s ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels, she finds herself prey in Regina’s crosshairs. As Cady sets to take down the group’s apex predator with the help of her outcast friends Janis and Damian, she must learn how to stay true to herself while navigating the most cutthroat jungle of all: high school.”
