Sometimes life really is just… good. Days of Our Lives‘ Sarah may be having a tough time holding onto that, seeing as how she’s just been paralyzed right before her daughter’s first birthday, but she’s still doing her best to stay positive. In real life, though, things are quite a bit brighter for Linsey Godfrey, who just had what looks like a downright magical time in Ireland with fellow actor (and Irishman) Kevin Ryan.

The two took a break from the hustle and bustle of the acting life for a getaway as only Ireland could provide at a 900-year-old hotel, Kilkea Castle. “What a welcome to Ireland this one gave me,” Godfrey shared over on Instagram when reposting Ryan’s gorgeous photos of the two of them, the castle and the beautiful Irish landscape.
A cozy fire, breakfast in bed, delicious food, a gorgeous spa — can we come along on the next trip? As Ryan wrote in his original post, “This castle is an hour outside of Dublin and you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. So beautiful, quiet and the restaurant and spa are just incredibly perfect. The grounds, rooms and overall experience is beyond what we expected!”

With Fiona steamrolling through Salem right now, we’re getting a bit more into Xander’s background. But we’ve got to say, once this mess with her, Brady and Sarah is sorted out, we’d love to see “Xarah” take a trip to Scotland and just catch a breather for once back where Xander grew up! Actually, maybe they could make a tour of the isles. Ireland, Scotland, England — hit them all, stay at some gorgeous castles and give the happy couple and the viewers a big treat!
