Meet the Real-Life Loves and Children of the “American Pie ”Cast
The classic teen movie premiered on this day in 1999 — and in the 25 years since, many of its stars have gone on to raise families of their own
Since the classic comedy American Pie came out 25 years ago on July 9, 1999, many of the film's former teen stars have gone on to have families of their own — though perhaps none as perfectly hilarious and cringe as Eugene Levy and Jason Biggs' Noah and Jim Levenstein.
"Wherever I travel, people want to talk to me about it," Biggs recently told PEOPLE. "There's now another one or two generations of people that have seen the movie, identified with the movie, liked the movie. It's been a really, really special thing for me. It's very cool to be here 25 years later and still talking about it."
As Biggs continues raising his two sons with wife and author Jenny Mollen and several of his castmates have started families of their own, see the stars of American Pie alongside their real-life partners and children.
Alyson Hannigan's Husband, Alexis Denisof
Actors Alyson Hannigan (American Pie's Michelle) and Alexis Denisof had a very Hollywood meet-cute on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the late '90s. Hannigan, now 50, starred on the series as the witch Willow, and Denisof, now 58, played the watcher Westley Wyndam-Price. Hannigan once said it was “flirtation at first sight.”
The stars wed in 2003, and have since welcomed two daughters, Satyana Marie and Keeva Jane. They've also shared the screen on other pop culture favorites, including her series How I Met Your Mother.
Eugene Levy's Wife, Deborah Divine
Eugene Levy and producer Deborah Divine have been together since the 1970s, and have expanded their show business family with son Dan, daughter Sarah and grandson James.
When Levy, now 77, won the outstanding lead actor in a comedy series Emmy Award for Schitt's Creek in 2020, his first thank-you was to his wife, "for all the love, support and sage counsel over the years. I wouldn't be up here without you, Deb," he continued. "I love you."
Jason Biggs' Wife, Jenny Mollen
Jason Biggs, 46, and bestselling author Jenny Mollen, 45, wed in 2008 and went on to welcome sons Lazlo and Sid in the years following.
The pair often collaborates on projects (and sweet, cheeky Instagrams!), most recently partnering for the TBS series Dinner and a Movie and Mollen's podcast, All the Fails.
Shannon Elizabeth's Husband, Simon Borchert
Shannon Elizabeth (who played Nadia) and brand strategist Simon Borchert share not only a passion for each other, but for the environment. Though they don't often speak publicly about their relationship, the pair work together through her namesake foundation to protect rhinos and strengthen conservation efforts through "engaging with legislators," according to an episode of The Do One Better podcast. Elizabeth, 50, and Borchert have also hosted a podcast together, The Art of Conservation.
Chris Klein's Wife, Laina Rose Thyfault
In 2015, Chris Klein (a.k.a. Oz) and travel agent Laina Rose Thyfault, now 39, tied the knot in front of 115 guests during an outdoor ceremony at the Rainbow Ranch in Montana.
“Promising forever was definitely the highlight,” the actor, 45, told PEOPLE. “Nothing gets better than that.”
The couple now has two children, daughter Isla and son Frederick.
John Cho's Wife, Kerri Higuchi

Natasha Lyonne's Rumored Boyfriend, Bryn Mooser
Though neither of them have said anything to confirm a relationship, for the past several months, Natasha Lyonne (who played Jessica), 45, and producer Bryn Mooser, 44, have been spending time together, walking the red carpet at the 2024 Golden Globes, sitting side-by-side for Macaulay Culkin's Walk of Fame ceremony and posting snuggly Instagrams.

In the years since, Reid, now 48, and Montpetit-Howar have remained prominent on each other's feeds and made a handful of public appearances together.
Mena Suvari's Husband, Michael Hope
In another cute Hollywood moment, Mena Suvari (Heather), 45, met artist Michael Hope on the set of the 2016 Hallmark movie I'll Be Home for Christmas. She starred in the holiday project, while Hope worked in the art department.
