Meet the Wannabe Rock Stars of 'Sing Street' in Exclusive Clip and Poster
Sing Street won over audiences and critics when it premiered at January’s Sundance Film Festival for its dream-chasing teens, retro tunes, and ‘80s fashion. Above, you’ll find an exclusive clip that pretty much sums it all up.
Written and directed by John Carney, who previously brought us the irresistible musical crowdpleasers Once (2007) and Begin Again (2014), Sing Street stars newcomer Ferdia Walsh-Peelo as a 14-year-old Dubliner named Conor. The teen escapes his strained home life and hard-scrabble neighborhood by jamming out and eventually forms the movie’s titular band, partly in hopes of impressing Raphina (Lucy Boynton), the girl he’s smitten with.

To take their ambitions the next level, Conor and bandmates bust out the Camcorder and shoot a music video for their song, “The Riddle of the Model,” featuring Raphina as the object of his desire.
Sing Street opens in limited theaters April 15. Check out the exclusive ‘concert poster’ below:
