Megan Thee Stallion Fans Think She’s Teasing Her Next Era: “Let’s Begin”
Megan Thee Stallion’s fans believe the artist is gearing up for her new music era. On Thursday (Oct. 12), Meg posted a trio of cryptic posts to her Instagram. The posts spell out “Act 1” and carry heavy snake imagery and iconography. Megan captioned the uploads with a message to her followers, simply typing, “Let’s Begin.”
The Houston Hottie can be seen in the posts rocking snake fangs as she lays on red furniture. Other pictures show her wearing white garments, a shot of spiky jewelry, and mysterious figures wearing Black robes. A video is also found in the collection of media, which sees Meg dramatically baring her prosthetic fangs.
The posts immediately sent her fans into a frenzy. Her “Hotties” hopped into her comment section to speculate what the posts could mean. The first assumption was new music. “Wait, we getting a new project?” one social media user typed. “Queen Megan is BACKKKKKK to save music,” another account wrote.
On the other hand, some fans were convinced this was for “Hottieween” — Megan’s take on Halloween. “Queen of Halloween, I’m so hype to see what you’re gonna do this year,” another user typed. “It’s giving hot girl Akasha from Queen of the Dammed,” referencing the cult classic horror film starring Aaliyah.
Megan Thee Stallion hasn’t confirmed what the mysterious rollout is for. However, she recently shed light on her label situation. Appearing on producer Max Julian’s IG Live on Thursday (Oct. 12), the Traumazine rapper revealed she is currently “independent.”
“Hotties! The real hotties, not the notties. Kinda them, too,” she began. “This part of my album is very much so funded by Megan Thee Stallion because we’re trying to get off… Y’all know what’s the tea. But I have no label right now. And we’re doing everything funded straight out of Megan Thee Stallion’s pockets. So, the budget is coming from me. Motherf**king Hot Girl Productions!”
“The next sh*t y’all about to see is all straight from Megan Thee Stallion’s brain and Megan Thee Stallion’s wallet. We are in my pockets, hotties, so let’s do our big one. I’m so excited to be doing something for the first time independently since it was just me and my momma. So excited. It’s really just me this go around until we sign to a new label. But I don’t want to sign to a new label right now because I just want to do it myself.”
