Megan Thee Stallion Files Lawsuit Against Blogger Milagro Gramz: “Enough Is Enough”
Megan Thee Stallion is taking legal action against blogger Milagro Gramz. The rapper, legal name Megan Pete, accuses Gramz, legal name Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, of acting as an “online rumor mill churning out falsehoods about Ms. Pete to her tens of thousands of social media followers.”
According to legal documents, obtained by VIBE, the Houston rapper and her legal team claim Cooper is a “paid surrogate” for Tory Lanez, legal name Daystar Peterson. In October 2020, Peterson was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon after shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July of that year. He was found guilty in December 2022, and sentenced to 10 years in prison.
“For years, you and other bloggers have acted on behalf of Mr. Peterson (aka Tory Lanez) as an online rumor mill churning out falsehoods about Ms. Pete to your tens of thousands of social media followers. You and other bloggers are a mouthpiece and puppet for Mr. Peterson, with a vendetta against Ms. Pete committed to tearing her down at all costs regardless of the truth,” details the Grammy winner’s legal team Alex Spiro, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP in a letter to Cooper.
The entire ordeal — from the shooting to the criminal trial — was marred with social media commentary and online hoopla, with Cooper allegedly using her platform to perform “Mr. Peterson’s public bidding to denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements about Ms. Pete on her online social media platforms, for no other reason than to bully, harass, and punish Ms. Pete for Mr. Peterson’s conviction and to tarnish her reputation, causing emotional distress.”
In the legal filing, examples are listed, some with screenshots. The lawsuit details posts from as recently as Sunday (Oct. 27), where she “falsely claimed that the firearm Mr. Peterson used to shoot Ms. Pete was not produced during the Trial because it was missing.”
Cooper is also accused of sharing a deepfake pornographic video of the rapper in June 2024, claiming Megan Thee Stallion had a drinking problem, despite not knowing her. She also allegedly attempted to pull information on Megan’s father in June 2024, and publicly demanded to know, “can you even prove that you was shot?” earlier this week, despite Peterson being found guilty of the violent action.
“It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life,” asserts the 29-year-old in a statement shared with VIBE.
“I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists. It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”
“Enough is enough,” writes Megan’s attorneys at the law firm Quinn Emanuel. “Ms. Pete—a victim of violent crime and champion of women’s rights to her millions of fans worldwide—will no longer stand for Defendant’s campaign of harassment.”
As the lawsuit became public news, Cooper took to social media to acknowledge the action against her.
“I’ve been informed that I’m being sued by Alex Spiro on behalf of his client Megan Thee Stallion,” she wrote, quoting the letter she received. The post also included a photo of Cooper.
“Of course we’ll chat about it,” she confirms to her followers on Wednesday morning. “They threw in the tape, too.”
She wrote in an additional tweet, “Countersuit gone go crazy.”
