Megan Thee Stallion And GloRilla Reflect On Their Growing Bond For ‘Close Friends Only’ Podcast
Being on a person’s close friends list on Instagram can mean many things, but for Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla, the digital declaration is the next step in their budding sisterhood. The two rappers appear together in the platform’s Close Friends Only podcast, set to debut on Thursday (Aug 15).
Teasing a lively, unfiltered conversation, the “Body” rapper wonders why she and her “FNF” peer have not made their Instagram connection green circle official.
“‘Cause, bi**h, why I’m not in your close friends?” asks Megan Thee Stallion.
“‘Cause, bi**h, I’m not in yours!” responds GloRilla.
The pair laughs in disbelief as their offline friendship has allowed GloRilla to watch Megan Thee Stallion “do crazy sh*t all day.”
The two have collaborated on songs featured in both of their latest works. On GloRilla’s Ehhthang Ehhthang mixtape released earlier this year, Meg joins her for “Wanna Be” an apparent favorite song of former president Barack Obama.
On Megan Thee Stallion’s Megan album, the two rappers flex their southern drawl and flawless physiques on “Accent.” Additionally, the Memphis rhymer joined the Houston chart-topper on the Hot Girl Summer tour, strengthening their bond beyond the studio.
“I love the bond that me and @glorillapimp have built in these past few weeks!” Megan Thee Stallion detailed of the journey on social media, per HipHopDX. “You are my sister 4L , you and cola never getting rid of me.”
“I luv you 4L Meg [heart emoji, teary-eyed emoji] I’m so glad I got to do dis tour with you I wouldn’t have had it no other way [party emoji] I can’t wait for dem to hear dat hot shit ahhhh so excited,” responded Big Glo.
