Megan Thee Stallion performs 'Savage' at Kamala Harris rally: 'Hotties for Harris'
Megan Thee Stallion on Tuesday took a break from her Hot Girl Summer tour to campaign for Democratic presidential hopeful Kamala Harris.
The Grammy-winning rapper – donning royal pants and a matching blazer and tie over a cropped white collared shirt – took to the stage as an opening act during the vice president's rally in Atlanta, which was livestreamed on social media.
"I want to start off by saying: Hotties for Harris," Megan said before launching into a compilation of her songs, including clean versions of "Girls in the Hood," "Mamushi," "Body" and "Savage."
In between tracks, the 29-year-old rapper encouraged supporters to elect Harris as the country's first female president.
"We about to make history with the first female president, the first Black female president," she told the crowd.

Earlier, when introducing "Body," she said, "Now I know my ladies in the crowd love they body, and if you want to keep loving your body, you know who to vote for."
On Monday, Megan teased her appearance by sharing a flyer on her Instagram that featured a photo of herself that read "Kamala" and "Megan Thee Stallion."
USA TODAY has reached out to Megan's reps for comment.
After Megan's set, Migos rapper Quavo took to the stage to endorse Harris and speak out about his mission of "resolving the gun violence issue" in the U.S.
"One thing I learned about working with Vice President Harris is she always stands on business, from inviting me to the White House last year to discuss these solutions to passing the biggest gun-safety laws to date," he said. "So it's only right the birthplace of the culture is also the same place to launch the first African American woman to run for president."

Megan Thee Stallion has track record of advocacy, nonprofit work
The "Hiss" rapper has not been especially active in politics, aside from dubbing former first lady Michelle Obama "Thee First Lady" and urging fans to vote. However, the rapper has been outspoken about Americans needing to protect Black women amid Tory Lanez's trial after he shot the "Savage" artist; Lanez was later convicted.
During an acceptance speech for the Catalyst for Change Award at Planned Parenthood of Greater New York's Spring Into Action gala in April, Megan pushed "to create communities where women can receive sexual and reproductive health care with the love, respect and compassion they deserve."
She's also founder of the nonprofit Pete & Thomas Foundation, whose mission aims to uplift "women, children, senior citizens and underserved communities in Houston, Texas, and across the world" with a focus on education, housing and health.
The rapper is currently on her Hot Girl Summer Tour. The international arena tour, Megan's first time as a headliner, stops in Atlanta on Friday, following her appearance in the nation's capital over the weekend at the Broccoli City Festival. The tour will wrap up in New York City on Sept. 26.
The Grammy Award winner released her third studio album, "Megan," on June 28. It was the first to be released under her independent label, Hot Girl Productions, after a legal spat with her former record label. The album features "Hiss," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year, and the TikTok-viral, bilingual record "Mamushi," which reached No. 1 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart.
Weeks ahead of Megan's tour launch, a former cameraman accused her of subjecting him to sexual harassment and weight-shaming comments in an April lawsuit filed in Los Angeles. Alex Spiro, a lawyer for Megan, in a statement to USA TODAY called the suit "an employment claim for money ? with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her."

Harris has amassed wide support since President Joe Biden called off his campaign for reelection. Biden's 59-year-old vice president has also already secured more than half the support of Democratic delegates to be the nominee and remains the only prominent Democrat to toss their name in the running.
Last week, her campaign amassed $100 million in donations less than 48 hours after Biden's withdrawal. Celebrities across entertainment have lent their support, including George Clooney and Jamie Lee Curtis, as well as "White Dudes for Harris" supporters Jeff Bridges, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Mark Hamill.
