Megan Thee Stallion teases Hot Girl Summer Tour stop in Memphis: What we know
Top hip-hop artist Megan Thee Stallion is coming to Memphis this summer — though full details on the date and venue are as yet unknown.
On Wednesday, the 29-year-old Texas rap superstar offered a teaser of her upcoming Hot Girl Summer Tour on her social media accounts.
A photo of Megan Thee Stallion was accompanied by the caption: “HOTTIESSS GET READY TO COME HAVE SOME FUN WITH ME AT THEE HOT GIRL SUMMER TOUR. Get your outfits ready nowww! We getting started this MAY. I told you what cities today to get yall prepared! Check back in on thee 20th for official dates - im so exciteddddd.”
A list of nearly 30 cities in the U.S. and Europe were included as part of the graphic, with Memphis among the proposed stops. Performances in other Southern cities including Atlanta, Raleigh, North Carolina, and a couple Florida stops were also mentioned.
Based on the post, a full tour announcement is set for later this month, when presumably dates, venues and ticket information would be confirmed.
RIVERBEAT MUSIC FESTIVAL LINEUP: Jelly Roll, Fugees and Killer Mike among the performers
Currently, Megan only has three official dates listed on her website, all of them festival performances — including Boston Calling and BottleRock Napa Valley in late May, and a show as part of Bonnaroo in Tennessee in mid-June.
Megan Thee Stallion last appeared in Memphis in 2022, when she headlined the Beale Street Music Festival at Liberty Park.
Her performance was one of the highlights of that year’s event — even though it came following a series of delays due to severe weather and thunderstorms, which saw her take the stage after midnight and perform well into the morning hours.
Megan Thee Stallion recently landed her first fully solo Billboard #1 with the hit single “Hiss.” The track comes ahead of a new album, her third long-player, which is expected to be released as early as this summer.
