Meghan Markle is keeping her personal memoir as ‘weapon in her back pocket’ for ‘revenge’ if needed: expert

Meghan Markle is opting to keep her personal memoir “in her back pocket” should she need it later “for revenge,” according to a royal expert.

Earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, was said to have been planning to expand on the mental health struggles she faced during her time in the palace in a tell-all book.

While there’s been no official word from the Sussex camp, royal correspondent and commentator Jennie Bond believes that the “Suits” alum could use the project to her advantage in the future.

“It’s more than two years since she gave that interview, and she has steered clear of controversy about the royal family since,” Bond told OK!

“Obviously, the journal she mentioned will remain a potential weapon in her back pocket if she ever feels the need to seek some sort of revenge.”

Bond continued, “But she has behaved with discretion and dignity ever since Oprah and the documentary series. I think she is looking forwards, not backwards and is moving on with her life. So I don’t think we should be raising false alarms about any potential memoir.”

The Post has reached out to Markle’s reps for comment.

Markle previously revealed she had battled suicidal thoughts during life as a royal in the UK, and briefly touched on her experience again in a CBS interview in August.

Rumors of Markle’s tell-all book have been swirling ever since husband Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir “Spare” hit shelves in January 2023.

The explosive book, which left no stone unturned about the duke’s time at the Firm, became the fastest-selling nonfiction book of all time.

However, despite the reports, a source familiar with the couple’s projects has denied the claims.

It wouldn’t be Markle’s first written project if the rumors are true.

The duo, who wed in 2018, signed a lucrative four-book deal with Penguin Random House in 2021.

Markle became a published author after releasing her children’s book, “The Bench,” that same year.

Since then, she’s gone on to release a podcast, “Archetypes” (which was scrapped by Spotify in June 2023 after 12 episodes), as well as a lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which has yet to be launched.
