Meghan Markle gets married ahead of royal wedding on 'Suits'
The season finale of Suits gave us a preview of Meghan Markle in a wedding dress when her character, Rachel Zane, got married.
“From the first second I met you, I knew I wanted to be here with you someday, walking down the aisle arm in arm,” Mike (Patrick J. Adams) told Rachel as he said his vows. “If I’ve learned one thing, it’s that we never know what the future holds. And that could be a scary thing. But I know that there is nothing that I can’t handle when I have you by my side.”
Rachel then told Mike, “I know that I fought it at first, but now … I can’t imagine living alongside anyone else for the rest of my life. You are the strongest man I’ve ever met. And you make me stronger. You’re the husband I’ve always wanted. And I can’t wait to begin our adventure together.”
After seven seasons on the show, both Markle and Adams made their last appearance in the season finale, titled “Good-Bye,” as the couple decided to leave their jobs in New York to move to Seattle to run their own law firm. That meant moving up their wedding by six weeks.
Coincidentally, Markle has stated that she is leaving her acting career behind when she marries Prince Harry on May 19. So it’s safe to say that the season finale, and her character’s ending, definitely suited her.
The Suits season finale aired Wednesday, April 25, at 9 p.m. on USA Network.
