Meghan Markle set to make seven figures in less than a year with American Riviera Orchard brand: report
Meghan Markle is onto a winner.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, is reportedly poised to cash in a whopping seven-figure sum within the first year of launching her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
Last month, the mom of two revealed her new business venture to the world with an Instagram post teasing its impending launch.
While products from her new brand are not available for purchase yet, Markle spent much of last week sending out jars of strawberry jam to an exclusive group of celebs.
And the “Suits” alum could be looking at a hefty payday with her line of pantry favorites, according to PR expert Mayah Riaz.
“So far, the jams have been sent to only 50 people. This suggests that it will be an exclusive and limited edition item,” Riaz told the Mirror.
“It has already been reported a single jam jar could cost three figures. I believe that is entirely likely from what we have seen so far. This is not rare for a celebrity brand.”
“Therefore, my estimation is that American Riveria Orchard in under a year could make Meghan seven figures. It is entirely possible for the brand to make multi-seven figures by the end of next year,” the PR guru added.
Riaz said that the Duchess will likely release a range of limited-edition jams that boast different flavors.
“It is possible that Meghan that we may see Meghan bring out American Riviera Orchard honey — which would be limited edition,” she said.
“Along with jams, honey, she may possibly even create sauces and pestos. Essentially items which are seen as luxury and would sit well in hampers,” Riaz shared, adding that “they would also be ideal items for gifting — if you can get your hands on them.”
The former actress has shipped out lemon-filled gift baskets containing fresh fruit jam to 50 of her friends ahead of the brand’s official launch.
Mindy Kaling, an award-winning actress — and friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — actress Tracee Ellis Ross, and Markle’s longtime pal and “Suits” co-star Abigail Spencer were three public figures who received a jam jar from Markle.
Designer Tracy Robbins and Argentinian model Delfina Blaquier, the wife of Prince Harry’s close friend and polo player Nacho Figueras, also received Markle’s strawberry condiment.
Additionally, a trademark application reveals the brand plans to sell tableware, drinkware, decanters, kitchen linens and edible treats such as jellies, jams, marmalade and spreads.
The trademark application is awaiting examination and is seeking approval for cookbooks.
