Meghan Markle is ‘very pleased’ with American Riviera Orchard’s ‘strong start’: report
Meghan Markle is “very pleased” about the “strong start” her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard has had so far, according to a report.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, unveiled her new business venture in March in an Instagram post teasing its impending launch.
And it seems as though everything is going according to the “Suits” alum’s plan.
“The rollout for American Riviera Orchard is already off to a strong start,” a source told Us Weekly. “The website has over 100,000 who have signed up to hear about the first products launched.”
“Meghan is very pleased with the early interest it has gained,” the insider went on. “[She] is so excited to see how people enjoy her products and use them in their everyday lives.”
The Post has reached out to Markle’s reps for comment.
While products from her new brand are not available for purchase yet, Markle sent out jars of strawberry jam to an exclusive group of celebs in April.
Since then, the mom of two sent out dog biscuits to her celeb pals, and has even teased a future rosé wine range.
What’s more, sources claimed that the duchess is reportedly looking for endorsement from her estranged father-in-law King Charles, despite not seeing him for years.
Last month, Nacho Figueras posted a picture of a pot of raspberry jam from Markle’s new lifestyle label, as well as a snap of his pup sitting next to a glass jar of the doggie treats.
However, per reports, the first item available to the public will be Markle’s rosé wine.
According to those close to the former actress, the brand’s name is a sweet nod to Santa Barbara, Calif., as it has been nicknamed the “American Riviera” for over a century.
The location is also where she and Harry reside with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Additionally, a trademark application reveals the brand plans to sell tableware, drinkware, decanters, kitchen linens and edible treats such as jellies, jams, marmalade and spreads.
The trademark application is awaiting examination and is seeking approval for cookbooks.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Markle could be looking to make a whopping seven-figure sum within the first year of launching the brand.
