Meghan Markle's 'Suits' co-stars celebrate birth of royal baby: 'Hearts are leaping'
Among Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s well-wishers following the birth of their son are her old friends from Suits.
The actress turned royal has kept in touch with her old crew — several co-stars attended the royal wedding and some publicly defended her amid negative press earlier this year — and they’re elated over the arrival of Baby Sussex, who was born Monday and is seventh in line to the British throne.
The first to post was Sarah Rafferty, who sent some love across the pond to the “beautiful, wondrous and healthy baby boy.”
Hearts are leaping for a beautiful, wondrous and healthy baby boy! Sending much love and wishes for every blessing across the pond today and everyday! ??

Markle’s former on-screen husband Patrick J. Adams, who like Rafferty attended the wedding last year, also celebrated the news. “Much love to him and his incredible parents,” wrote Adams, who won’t be part of the show’s eight season.
Just heard that the world just got heavier by 7 pounds and 3 ounces. Much love to him and his incredible parents. Learned first hand 7 months ago how transformational becoming a parent is and couldn’t be happier for Meghan and Harry as they begin this adventure. #playdatesoon

And Markle’s on-screen dad Wendell Pierce also sent a congratulatory message.

The show’s official handle also had a message.

The Duchess of Sussex played Rachel Zane on the legal drama beginning in 2011, the year it debuted. However, after her romance with Prince Harry heated up — and they became engaged — it was announced she was leaving the USA Network show. Her character was written off in 2018.
Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first child into the world on Monday. The baby, whose name has not yet been announced, weighs 7 pounds, 3 ounces. Harry said that mother and son are doing great and the proud dad promised that they will introduce the baby publicly in a few days.
