Meghan McCain called out “The View” on Wednesday morning for not having a single woman who voted for Trump on the show to share their perspective on the election results.

In an X post shared on Wednesday morning, the former “View” co-host wrote “It is actual malfeasance on the part of ABC news that there isn’t one single conservative woman on The View this morning who voted for Trump or simply isn’t repulsed by his supporters to explain to America why he is still so popular.”

McCain’s statement comes a day after the show’s election day episode, which featured the show’s only Republican host, Alyssa Farah Griffin, sharing that she voted for Kamala Harris. “For the first time in my life, I voted for a Democrat,” Griffin, a former White House staffer and Donald Trump aid, announced to fellow hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sara Haines, and Sunny Hostin

McCain, the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain, joined “The View” as a co-host in 2017 before announcing her departure after four years in 2021. Since quitting the show, she’s been open about how “miserable” the show made her, in large part due to the incessant fights that would break out between herself and her more liberal co-hosts as the only conservative voice on the show.

McCain has remained active on social media on Wednesday morning following Tuesday’s unexpectedly swift race. Donald Trump was officially declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election after as he claimed victory in Pennsylvania late last night.

In another tweet this morning, McCain wrote: “One thing I learned from going through my dad’s brain cancer journey is that at a certain point you really have to rely on faith and know everything is in Gods hands. I hope all sides show grace and this can be an opportunity to come together as Americans and start healing.”
